Dick Lingenfelter began his insurance career in 1959, while also working in the engineering department at Caterpillar. In 1971 Dick left Caterpillar and established the Lingenfelter Insurance Agency (formerly the Welch Insurance Agency).

Becci, Dick's first child of three, joined the agency in 1976. Rick, Dick's youngest came to work in the agency in 1987. In 2019 the third generation of Lingenfelter entered the agency. Josh, Rick's son, joined the agency after graduating from the University of Illinois with his Actuarial Science degree. Dick spent 2019 working closely with Josh teaching him the things only experience brings. 2020 saw Dick give himself some freedom to relax. He now serves as the "insurance guru" of the agency, always ready to review and advise on issues relating to insurance.

Times have changed but the personal service of Lingenfelter Insurance has not. We base our agency business on relationships and enjoy getting to know our clients personally.

Lingenfelter Insurance Agency is located in Chillicothe, IL, 12 miles north of Peoria along the Illinois River. Our location in central Illinois has allowed us to effectively service most of the state and parts of Iowa.
